I think I seen Russel Brand out there getting in tune with the
ocean becoming one with the waves.

Johnson Gibbs says:

great video

The Elmore Team says:

Grant, I’m sure everyone feels much safer knowing they have you watching out. Love the videos and the commentary. Hope your doing good bro.

Stephen Schultz says:

There's just something special about big California swells that always gets me. Nostalgia shivers.

Levvis Balhare says:

would a powerful laser work and be seen to point out a downed surfer in the white wash?

Levvis Balhare says:

big for late April

Jim Suley says:

looks like a fun way to spend the day🏄‍♂️

Jake Surfs says:

Great footage and video edit!
7:41 "It was like the rogue-ist of rogue waves." Heavy words coming from Mark Sponsler!

Stephen Spaulding says:

Curt, Eric, your dedication being on it at pre-dawn light is impressive. Chumbo's relaxed, whip-around take off was pretty impressive as well. So was the entire video. Great to see Grant and Christy still on the program after 30 years! And seeing Sponsler doing his in "the field" research.

oneoceanwander says:

Having 3 different perspectives of the wave gives a way better appreciation for how gnarly Mavericks is. This is one of the best Mavs videos I've ever seen

Doc Will says:

Surfed from S.C. to Half Moon Bay from '65-'85. San Gregorio was always big and well-formed but broke too close to ciffs. Never even knew of Mavericks.
Might've tried at age 20…maybe.

Felix Pfaltermann says:

It just looks like such a violent break compared to other bigs.

tube says:

September Arctic sea ice is now declining at a rate of 13% per decade

every drop of oil, every ton of coal and every cubic foot of gas we burn pushes us deeper into climate chaos

Garth Johnson says:

Special day when both Mavs and Pico Alto break

Dave Schleifer says:

Evan Moore says:

Respect out to the rescue team. Goosebumps all the way through this vid.

Provident MC 💽 🌱Conserjero says:

Buenas olas, más de una vez he podido disfrutar de este tamaño y un poquito más espectacular 🏄🤙.

H Man says:

Thanks to all the rescue crew letting all play safe.

Michael Neely says:

Whoever put this video together wow. Top freaking shelf video. The shots looking into the barrel rocked me. How dose a surfer ride that barrel? It looks like suicide. Sick video and the people out there surfing those monsters. Much respect 🙏.

Australian Naturalist Matt says:

Did old mate seagull go down at 5.03 seconds in, haha if so I’d love to hear it’s story of the day the seas were angry 😂

mike nelson says:

I almost drown just watching those guys going over backwards over the falls. That’s like the worst ever beat down. Getting driven deep with intense violence. Yikes

clarkewi says:

Spring bump

Sean says:

Da kine ! Bumpy spring swell. Seagulls love the wind.

G Wall says:

So good!!
Thanks
