cumminsscout says:

I'll never forget my beat down out there in May '93 and that was only a 10' 20sec swell – no jet skis though and a broken board. I wasn't surprised when Foo drowned the next year….. It can happen to anyone! Glad you made it!

Never padle in the first wave of the set! πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸŒŠ

Kimberly Davis says:

You know that's a risky sport, one can get killed, right? I know it's exhilarating, but be careful will ya!

Kevin Krause says:

Muy loco ola(s) & cojones!

Since the 90's we have watched from the sidelines – the progression from Waimea-Todos-Mavs-Jaws-Nazare-??. From paddle to tow back to paddle again and you keep upping the bar! Fortunately, there are less casualties now with the jet ski crews, inflatable vests, and better training…Yet, it is still mind-blowing to watch though!!

On a more suburban scale – our family just got back from 10 days surfing crowded yet fun & warm Waikiki – my 12yo son hangin' with his 50yo dad, and the local beach boys – we had a blast just LIVIN' da DREAM!!! The biggest danger there is avoiding the canoes, catamarans and 10' beginner boards…

Rafael Otero says:

Respect!! IΒ΄m glad you are alive and kicking. IΒ΄ll have a beer to celebrate, cheers!! Greetings from Lima.

John Anthony Barkow says:

That wave was not going to let a small speck on a board ride it. That wave set you up on purpose!

Andrew Bester says:

Twig you are a absolute nutter, but I am very glad you are Ok!

Brad says:

Well done staying calm, and well done to the guys on the ski.
