cheap insurance Dakine has always had a reputation of making quality gear. The cuff is stiff and sturdy. Both ends of the leash swivel on solid looking hardware. I bought a used board recently. I kicked out of my first wave and felt the leash go “ping” (not a Dakine Leash). Swimming like a madman while watching my pristine board get crunched on the rocks. The moral of the story is: you really should attach a NEW leash when you buy a used board because you don’t know what that old leash has been…
