I wear these to step in and out of the surf along the beach edge, and to walk in and around tide pools, which means there’s a lot of sandy water ebbing and flowing around my feet. Many beach shoes and beach socks just get sucked off your feet, or slip down off your heel, or loosen up and fill with sand under those conditions.
