Best of the bunch This was the best of six suits we tried for my seven year old son. He’s 48″ tall and weighs 48 pounds, so he’s a very skinny, lanky little dude. Summary of the wetsuits we tried on: * Henderson 3mm Thermoprene shorty – size 4 – had high hopes for this one, based on the high quality stretch material and taped seams. Quality wetsuit with a perfect fit – I’m impressed. Unfortunately there are not a lot of quality, born-in-the-surf, name brand choices in wetsuits for young kids. We had great luck with the Body Glove and Rip Curl brands for our son from infant to toddler sizes until now, but could not seem to find one in stock in his next size up (or for a reasonable price).
